Idyllwild East Bed and Breakfast is a newly constructed lodging facility just 5 miles from Jay Peak Ski Resort and the Canadian Border. Originally built by a local banker, Proncell and Dortha Johnson converted it into a Bed and Breakfast in May 2000.

Its modern architecture features hardwood floors, carpets, beautiful rugs, a cathedral ceiling, and a foyer with two second story decks. The Guest Suites and Room with private baths are centered around the ground floor Guest Lounge. The Guest Lounge and Suites have their own 27" satellite TVs and VCRs and a wood burning stove. The upstairs dining area features its own large fireplace and spacious views of the surrounding areas. Guest Rooms offer excellent views of the beautifully landscaped grounds, pond and the spectacular Jay Peak Ski slopes.

Proncell and Dortha moved to Vermont via Boston in 1999 from Idyllwild, California, a resort town 6,000 feet above Palm Springs in the San Jacinto mountains. Idyllwild means idealistic, and Proncell and Dortha are truly dedicated to providing their guests with a wholesome, quiet, comfortable and clean environment that meets this standard.
